Access to Services

The TMK works on a range of thematic issues, which are determined according to the priorities of the communities our members work with.

The TMK’s thematic Working Groups lead the development of policy propositions. are made up of members of the TMK, plus other civil society organizations that wish to collaborate in developing policy recommendations.

At present, our Working Groups are developing policy recommendations focused on three thematic issues, which were selected following consultation with TMK members in May 2020

1. Access to Services Working Group

This thematic issue encompasses the access of refugees and host communities to essential public services such as education and healthcare, as well as social protection. It also includes employment and livelihoods. The Access to Services Working Group is made up of 9members. It is currently developing policy recommendations on access to education, given that the Covid-19 pandemic, and the subsequent closure of schools, have exacerbated existing challenges in access to education for refugees.
